The annual celebration of Islam, hosted by Edinburgh Central Mosque as part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe is back.
At the Festival, the doors of the Mosque are open to everyone, old or young, with any faith or none, to discover and learn about Islam through an exhibition, guided tours, talks and workshops. The Festival aims to remove the barrier between people and Islam, and to create an opportunity of interaction and mutual understanding.
This year’s highlights include:
Saturday 17th August 2019
2pm: Drop in for some fun science activities at the Mosque
3.30pm: Science and the Quran: a talk by Dr Mujahid ul Islam
Sunday 18th August, 2-5pm
Multicultural Day: Discover a variety of cultures, foods and clothing from across the Muslim World
Tuesday 20th August, 4pm
Finding Peace in the Holy Land: a talk by author and TV broadcaster Lauren Booth
